Luxon Armor Salvage? - Guild Wars Forums

Does anybody know if you can get jade shards from salvaging luxon armor? I'm thinking of upgrading to the elite version so I was hoping to reduce the cost by getting some jade back. I checked the wiki but couldn't find anything.

You can get ectos from salvaging obsidian armor so presumably you can get other rare mats from other armors too. It's not going to be anywhere close to what you put in but you might get a little back. Also, you're not going to need the old set once you've got enough cash/mats for the new one so you might as well salvage it anyway (after taking off the runes and unless the merch value is significant, of course).

I think it's down to luck, I have pitiful luck when salvaging armour. I salvaged my Obsidian after I put it into HoM and got something pathetic like 2 shards and some regular materials
